CLAT Exam Pattern

The Common Law Admission Test is composed of questions of an objective nature. Questions in this exam are drawn from the class 10 and 12 curricula. The CLAT primarily evaluates a candidate's aptitude and skill with CLAT study material. It is essential for studying law, and on the basis of which exam questions are created. The CLAT is a two-hour exam. In the UG test, 150 multiple-choice questions are presented. One mark will be awarded for each accurate response, while 0.25 marks will be withheld for each incorrect response.

Exam Schedule for the CLAT

In most cases, CLAT notification is released in December, application procedures begin in January, admission cards are released in April, and the exam is held in the middle of May. The exam is administered, the answer key is made available two days later, and by the end of May, the results are announced. In June, the merit list and cutoff are revealed, and the counselling process then begins.

For admission to the several National Law Universities in India, the Common Law Admission Test is held. A few private institutions also provide admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) legal programs based on CLAT results in addition to this.
